Moraine Park Campground
One of the most scenic and popular campgrounds in Rocky Mountain National Park, Moraine Park sits in a broad glacially-carved valley with elk frequently visible right from the campground, especially during fall rut season. Sites offer flush toilets and potable water, no hookups, and the location puts you close to the Bear Lake corridor’s trailheads via the free park shuttle, letting you skip the notoriously limited Bear Lake parking entirely. Given its popularity and year-round operation (a rarity among the park’s campgrounds), reservations for summer and fall dates — especially during elk rut in September and October — fill up well in advance.
