Right beside Watchman Campground near Zion’s south entrance, South Campground offers largely the same convenience — walking distance to Springdale and the visitor center shuttle stop — with a slightly more classic, tree-shaded feel than its neighbor. Sites offer flush toilets and potable water, no hookups, and its location makes it just as strong a base for exploring Zion Canyon via the shuttle without ever needing to drive once you’ve arrived. Given its similar convenience to Watchman, this campground sees comparable demand — reservations for peak season fill up well in advance.
