Cades Cove Campground
Right at the start of the famous Cades Cove Loop Road, this campground puts you in one of the best wildlife-viewing areas in the entire park — bear, deer, and wild turkey sightings are genuinely common right around camp. Sites offer flush toilets and potable water, some electrical hookups, and a camp store nearby, plus bike rentals for exploring the 11-mile loop without a car during its car-free mornings. Given Cades Cove’s status as one of the most popular destinations in the entire park, this campground sees heavy demand nearly year-round — reservations well in advance are genuinely necessary, especially for summer and fall weekends when the loop road itself can back up with traffic.
