Hoh Rain Forest Campground
Deep in the park’s famous temperate rainforest, this campground sits right at the trailhead for the Hall of Mosses and Hoh River Trail, letting you walk directly into moss-draped old growth without any drive at all. Sites offer flush toilets and potable water, no hookups, and given how remote and rainy this part of the park genuinely is, come prepared for wet conditions even outside the winter months — this is one of the wettest places in the continental United States. Its position at the end of a long access road means real commitment to reach, but campers here get an early, quiet start on one of the most otherworldly short hikes anywhere in the National Park System before day-trippers arrive.
