North Campground
The larger and more central of Bryce Canyon’s two developed campgrounds, North Campground sits right near the visitor center and within walking distance of Sunrise Point and the Rim Trail — genuinely one of the most conveniently located park campgrounds anywhere in Utah’s canyon country. Sites offer flush toilets and potable water, with a mix of tent-only and RV-accommodating spots, though no hookups are available. Given the park’s high elevation (over 8,000 feet), nights stay cool even in summer, and the campground puts you close enough to the rim that an early sunrise walk requires no driving at all. Because of its popularity and central location, reservations for peak-season dates are worth securing well in advance; a portion of sites remain first-come, first-served outside of peak months.
