Overview:
The North Rim Visitor Center sits beside Grand Canyon Lodge and is the information hub for the park’s quieter, high-country rim. Rangers staff an information and permit desk, and the building is a short walk from Bright Angel Point and the lodge’s rim terrace. The North Rim closes each winter, so the visitor center operates only in the warm season, roughly mid-May through mid-October. After the Dragon Bravo Fire, the park reopened the North Rim developed area, including Highway 67, Cape Royal Road, Point Imperial Road, and the North Kaibab Trail, for the 2026 season, so check current conditions before you plan a trip.
