Logan Pass Visitor Center sits at the summit of the Going-to-the-Sun Road at about 6,700 feet, straddling the Continental Divide, and it is the highest and most popular visitor center in Glacier National Park. Inside are interactive exhibits and a bookstore run by the Glacier National Park Conservancy, and rangers on hand can answer questions about wildlife, snow, and trail conditions. Outside, the Hidden Lake Overlook and Highline trailheads start steps from the building, and mountain goats and bighorn sheep are often seen nearby. The parking lot is notoriously busy and fills early in the day, so many visitors arrive by shuttle. The center opens once the road has been plowed in early summer and closes in late September.
