The Jenny Lake Visitor Center sits at South Jenny Lake, about eight miles north of Moose, right where visitors board the boat shuttle across the lake and set out on the shore trails. Rangers staff an information and bookstore desk, and a flagpole outside is the meeting point for short ranger walks along the lake. A network of paved shore trails connects the visitor center to the lakeshore, which makes this one of the easiest places in the park to get a lake view. Climbers and backpackers who need detailed route information should visit the separate Jenny Lake Ranger Station nearby. The visitor center is seasonal, so confirm dates for spring and fall trips.
