General Backcountry Travel (No Maintained Trails)

This entry exists to make an important point clear on the site: Gates of the Arctic has no constructed or maintained trails anywhere within its boundaries. Every route through the park is self-directed cross-country travel, typically planned with a park ranger or an experienced guide.
