Gulpha Gorge Campground
The only NPS-run campground in Hot Springs National Park, Gulpha Gorge sits in a quiet, wooded gorge a short drive from downtown’s historic bathhouse row — a genuinely different pace from the spa-town atmosphere the park is best known for. Sites offer potable water and restrooms (no showers, no hookups), and the campground’s location near the Hot Springs Mountain Trail makes it a good base for combining a hike with a soak at one of the still-operating bathhouses downtown. Given this is the smallest and most urban national park in the system, the campground itself is small too — arriving with flexible dates improves your odds during busier stretches, since there’s no backup NPS option within the park if this one is full.
