North Rim Campground
The only developed campground on Grand Canyon’s quieter, far-less-visited North Rim, this campground offers genuinely dramatic canyon views from several sites, along with a noticeably cooler, forested setting than the South Rim’s more exposed terrain. Sites have flush toilets and potable water, no hookups, and the campground’s short season — typically mid-May through mid-October, snowpack dependent — reflects the North Rim’s overall limited access window each year. Being here puts you close to the Bright Angel Point and Transept Trails without any driving, and the North Rim overall sees a fraction of the South Rim’s crowds, making this a strong pick for anyone who’s already done the busier side of the canyon and wants a quieter perspective.
