Devils Garden Campground
Devils Garden is the only developed campground inside Arches National Park, and its location is genuinely hard to beat — tucked among red rock fins about eighteen miles from the park entrance, deep in the same landscape as the park’s most famous arches. Sites are relatively small and close together, with no hookups, but each has a picnic table and fire grate, and vault toilets and potable water are available seasonally. What makes this campground special is being able to walk out your tent flap into slickrock desert at sunrise or sunset, well after the day-trippers have left — the Devils Garden Trailhead, leading to Landscape Arch and beyond, starts right from the campground loop. Because it’s the only in-park option and extremely popular, reservations (available up to six months in advance during peak season) are essential; walk-up availability is rare, especially spring through fall. Given how compact Arches is, this is one of the most scenic and convenient park campgrounds in all of Utah’s Mighty 5.
